Pickleball at Sun Vista is underway and the courts are busy through out the day as we have seen a growth in the number of new players in the park this year. What is happening?
Lessons are being offered at the upper courts on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by open play for beginner and novice/intermediate players.
Open play at the lower courts for intermediate and advanced players on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Round robin play for the first 36 players that sign up is held every Wednesday mornings at the lower courts starting at 9:00 a.m.
Advance players are playing outside of the park on Tuesday and Fridays.
Pickleball skill development clinic for Intermediate Skill Level players is being scheduled with John and Letha Rodriguez from the Selkirk Amped Team for February.
The club is looking to host the first ever “Clash of the Parks” tournament for Advanced Players in March of 2022.
Sun Vista teams are gearing up for the Yuma Senior Winter games that will be held at Fortuna De Oro RV Resort. The schedule for the games is:
Mixed Doubles on February 9th and 10th.
Women’s Doubles on February 16th and 17th.
Men’s Doubles on February 23rd and 24th.
